Displaced child (K.A.) in Hasakah faced the risk of amputation due to a misdiagnosis of “diabetic foot.” However, thanks to the meticulous intervention of the Mesopotamia Association’s medical team, it was determined that the injuries were actually infected wounds that healed completely after a week of intensive care.
To break his isolation, the association provided him with an electric wheelchair, restoring his independence and dignity among his peers. Today, (K.A.) is no longer confined to his room; he is filled with hope, saying, “I will soon return to the streets of my village in Afrin with this wheelchair.” This story encapsulates the essence of our work: transforming pain into hope and disability into a resilient will to live.
