October 7, 2026

As part of the efforts of Mesopotamia Association for Relief and Development (MRD) to enhance the safety of returning families, MRD conducted an awareness activity prior to the return date at displacement centers in Al-Hasakeh Governorate.

The activity targeted displaced families who later returned as part of the third convoy to Serekaniye (Ras al-Ain) on Monday, 5 October 2026.

It included awareness sessions and the distribution of informative materials on landmines and explosive remnants of war (ERW), with the aim of increasing families’ awareness of potential risks, preventive measures, and safe practices, helping to support their safety during return and resettlement.
